This 1.5 day workshop is for facilitators who have some experience and want to refresh and enhance their skills. Objectives include:

  • Learn and practice using 5 process frameworks for designing and facilitating sessions that enable group development and productivity
  • Select or develop questions to support both planned and spontaneous facilitation challenges involving these 5 frameworks
  • Become comfortable using the book “Making Questions Work” as a time-saving desktop resource

Service 3: Process Design: Making it Work
Ever felt stumped by how to design a workshop or a multi-phase process?

  • In this hands-on 1.5 day session you will learn process design from start to finish while building a design for an upcoming session. We begin with practical tools for integrating values, mining perspectives, exploring types of power, understanding stakeholder diversity, and developing a process terms of reference. Then we will use a stepwise approach to participants’ cases to block an agenda, confirm the flow, develop metaphors and complete the design.
  • Participants receive a copy of “Process Design: Making it Work” and are completely comfortable using the book at the end of the workshop.

Service 4: Managing Facilitated Processes: A to Z
In this one-day workshop you will learn intelligent decision-making for organizing, planning and managing a successful session. This includes insights about your personal style, how participants are selected and invited, where a session is held, how presentations are aligned with session objectives, how to use worksheets, what food to serve, types of reports, approaches to soliciting feedback.

Participants receive a copy of “Managing Facilitated Processes” and are completely comfortable using this book as a desktop reference by the end of the workshop. An accompanying website includes e-versions of all the tools and templates in the book and workshop so that you can simply copy and customize whatever is required at your convenience.

Service 5: Interactive keynote speaker for your conference

  • Topic: “Great Questions for Effective Leadership”
    • Dorothy will kick off your main event with a dynamic keynote presentation on how to ask questions that enable action. Each participant gets a signed copy of her book “Making Questions Work”. Dorothy facilitates the rest of the session, including presentations and discussions with other speakers while coaching participants on how to use the book “Making Questions Work”.
